District 86 is pleased to announce the sixteen 2009-2010 All-State Musicians from Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South High Schools, eight from each school. These students were honored as All-State orchestra, choir and band musicians, and student composers. The designation is a prestigious honor for top musicians by the Illinois Music Educators Association and the pinnacle of their high school music careers.

The All-State Musicians from Hinsdale Central are: Katie Knister (Violin II), Angelica Lasala (All-State Choir, Alto I), Jeremy Pincus (All-State Choir, Bass I), Kathryn Running (Cello), Sarah Semba (Violin II), John Stathopoulos (Cello), Stephanie Wey (Cello), and Shirley Yang (Violin II).

From Hinsdale South, the All-State Musicians are: Gina Calvello (Soprano II), Chee Haw Chan (Violin I), Ryan Jarvis (Tenor II), Meghan Kasanders (All-State Honors Choir, Alto I), Collin Labak (Music Composition, Commercial/Popular Category), Tanmaya Sambare (French Horn), Amy Steinken (All-State Honors Choir, Soprano I), and Joseph VanHorn (All-State Honors Choir, Bass II).
