Sub Rates 2007-08
Regular Sub
$19.00 per class 5 classes
$95.00/day
*Board Policy: “Daily”
subs are limited to 85 days of work in district in any one school year.
Internal
Sub
$29.00/period
Long
Term subs require written recommendation from school and HR approval. Use
Form HR003.
Long
Term Sub
BA Step 1 ($41,437/185) $223.98/day
(20 consecutive days)
Special Need Long Term Sub
Honors/AP, Specialty Area
$250.00/day
One Semester Long Term Sub
Part time contracts are calculated on current teacher salary schedule.
Three Quarter Sub
If they are working on a specific assignment, full year contract/letter
issued.
Support Staff Temporary
Approval of sub for ESP positions must be approved by the (HR) office. Not
all support staff positions will qualify for a sub. Compensation will be
paid at the entry level step of the positions pay scale, not the “certified
staff” sub rates.

Minimum Requirements:
Certificate: A valid Illinois teaching certificate or a
valid "substitute certificate Type 39"

Illinois State Police Criminal Background check will be
completed

to request a packet. Be sure to include your name and
address with
your e-mail.
It is important to note that if you are related by blood or
marriage to any current staff member or elected official of
Hinsdale High School District 86 you are precluded from
substitute teaching under the District’s current nepotism policy.

Appropriate Illinois teaching/administrative/specialized
certification or out of state certification meeting Illinois
reciprocal requirements required for all positions.
