PhysicsCentral is proud to announce a new approach to learning in partnership with Kinetic Books, using our first ever completely electronic textbook complete with narration, interactive graphics, animations, video clips, and interactive tutorials and built-in quizzes.  This innovative textbook was designed from the ground up to be web based and give you the edge in mastering the concepts and principles of physics in an interactive format using the latest web technologies.

Click on the image to the right to login to our online homework system:

Username:  Use your school ID number.

Institution:  Put in our school code, centralhinsdale86.il

Remember, you can save your work as you go, and submit answers individually.  Finally, to enter small or big numbers, use scientific notation using the following format examples (where "e" stands for exponent):

3.56e4 = 35,600 

5.13e-3 = 0.00513

Follow the link to the right to purchase a 1-year subscription to Kinetic Books for the low price of only $24.95.  Additional purchase options are available by calling Kinetic Books including a CD-ROM and paperback version.  You will need a valid credit card to checkout--if you have any problems, please PHONE the company for purchase options.

You will receive 2 emails--a purchase confirmation and an account setup email.  You must use the email address you purchased the book with and the password sent in the 2nd email to create your account.  Once your account is set up, be sure to change your login and password to match your school one to make it easier for you to remember how to login.  Also, the first time you login you will need to download and install the Kinetic Books installer so that you will be able to have the full feature set of this interactive electronic textbook.

Click on the image to the right to download the browser for your electronic textbook--once you install the e-text browser simply run the "Conceptual Physics Online" from your computer to login to your textbook!
