Nuclear power & radioactive decay are a natural part of everyday life--whether it be warmth from the sun, the light your eyes see, or talking on your cell phone, a basic understanding of nuclear energy and radiation can dispel some of the myths and fears surrounding these topics normally portrayed negatively by Hollywood and the media.  While many dangers and fears are legitimate, the benefits of harnessing this natural phenomena and energy can be limitless and having a basic understanding of nuclear power and radiation can be the key to alternative energy sources for the future.
