Mushrooms are a type of fungus that consist of a stem and a cap. There are various types of mushrooms such as agaric mushrooms, and they are classified according to the shape of their cap. Mushrooms can be classified under either Basidiomycota (club fungi) or Ascomycota (cup fungi), which are less common. Mushrooms are used a lot in cooking, but there are types of mushrooms that are poisonous, which is why consumption of wild mushrooms is dangerous if one does not know types of mushrooms. Since mushrooms are fungi, they must gain their nutrients from their surroundings, as opposed to plants that use photosynthesis for obtaining their nutrients. Mushrooms are high in various vitamins and minerals, making it a healthy eating choice (the non poisonous ones ofcourse). Click below to view our website |
