What Is Hinsdale Central Dance Company?

HCDC provides opportunities in dance for freshmen thru senior year students.  Dances are taught, choreographed, and performed for the annual show by dance company members.   Members also learn a variety of dance styles and techniques through workshops and guest instructors.  The annual show incorporates all forms of dance: classical ballet, stylized tap, jazz, creative dance, lyrical, hip hop, and much more.  

 Interest meeting in November, Try-outs in December.

The Company’s mission is to make dance accessible to the widest possible audience and to create new dances using a variety of dance styles.

Hinsdale Central Dance Company is dedicated to creating and performing original and innovative works of the highest quality and promoting the understanding of and appreciation for the art form of dance, in the belief that Dance is for Everybody!

 We accomplish our mission by reaching our goals:

• Commissioning choreographers of exceptional talent
• Performing in shows
• Preparing all members as performers, teachers and choreographers
• Providing dance education to communities and schools
• Broadening and deepening the dance experience for audiences of all ages.
