Family and Consumer Sciences at Hinsdale South
     
The Hinsdale South High School Department of Family & Consumer Sciences is concerned with enhancing the social, intellectual, economic, aesthetic, and physical well being of both individuals and families. The courses in the department provide the students with the basic skills and tools necessary to perform the various functions of the family. Family members will need to know how to use critical thinking skills to analyze the effects of technology and its multitude of new resources and products on the family. Courses in this department offer opportunities for creative expression and personal fulfillment as well as employment skills.
