Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization whose purpose
is to help hard-working people afford good housing. Started over 25 years ago
with this central idea in mind, Habitat has grown to include thousands of
housing projects in all parts of the world. Begun in 1999 at Hinsdale South primarily because of the
persistence of one student (Sweta Daga), our high school affiliate is
a first for 2009-10 Meeting Dates Meetings may be before and after school, please attend one or
the other for your convenience. They usually last less than 30 minutes. Watch the
website and listen to the announcements for more information. Congratulations New Officers

2004 Highlights The Hinsdale South Food
Drive was awesome. Thanks to all members that contributed by passing out
flyers and collecting food. Saturday, September 18th was the Second Annual DuPage Habitat for
Humanity Family Walk. Ms. Zaleski and several members participated. On Saturday September 25th Mr. Gawlik, Ms. Zaleski and several
members went to the Glendale Heights build project for a few hours of
"sweat equity" Alongside a Habitat Family and another group of
students from Trinity High School, we raked, swept and shoveled what will be
the lawn area's in the front, side and back of the house. Since our last
visit in spring the house has undergone serious remodeling changes. More
pictures will be on the website soon from this day of work. Sleep in a Box was October 16-17. Over 30 members braced for 30
mile per hour winds and 30 degree temperatures to raise nearly $5000 for
DuPage Habitat for Humanity. Click here for some SIB
