Students must complete each of the following steps:
- Obtain all application materials from the college or
university.
- Apply online or print off a paper application from the
university's admissions website or
- Request that an application be sent to you by calling the
office of admissions or requesting information from the
university's website or
- A limited amount of applications are available in the
guidance office.
- Complete a transcript
request form with EVERY application.
- Transcript request forms are available in the guidance
office.
- SUBMIT A COMPLETED APPLICATION TO YOUR COUNSELOR.
- A completed application may include:
- Application with signature
- Check for the application fee or a fee waiver
- Completed transcript request form
- Essay or personal statement if needed
- Supplemental information (resume, portfolio, etc.) if
needed
- Counselor/Secondary School Report if needed
- Teacher Recommendations if needed
- Mid-Year School Report Form if needed
- ALL OF THESE PIECES ARE SENT IN ONE PACKAGE BY HINSDALE
SOUTH TO THE UNIVERSITY'S OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS.
- REMEMBER:
- Please allow up to 2 working weeks (10
school days) for the application materials to be mailed.
- Priority filing deadline dates.
- Know the difference between Early Decision (binding), Early
Action and Rolling Admissions.
- Inform your counselor when admissions decisions are received
(accepted, denied, wait listed or deferred).
