MIDWEST MUSIC FESTIVAL RESULTS


Congratulations to the Symphonic Band and Percussion Ensemble students that performed at the Midwest Music Festival on Saturday, February 28, 2009.  The band earned a Division I rating and sixth place overall. The band received good feedback from the panel of judges.  The band performed Where Never Lark or Eagle Flew by James Curnow and El Capitan March by John Philip Sousa.

PEP BAND SCHEDULE & EXPECTATIONS

Instrumentalists of all ages are invited to join the Red Devil Marching Band in the Hinsdale Fourth of July Parade on Saturday, July 4, 2009.  Local band students and closet musicians of all ages are encouraged to join.  More information is available in the document below.

SPECIAL SENATOR DILLARD ANNOUNCEMENT


On Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 9:45 am, members of the Red Devil Marching Band have been asked to perform at the Hinsdale Village Hall for a special announcement from Senator Dillard.  We would like to have the biggest, best sounding band we can gather because there will be several local media outlets present.  This is a big opportunity for the band.  Please email Mr. Kurinsky if you are available to perform or if you have additional questions.

2010 SENIOR PICTURES & BIOGRAPHIES


Every band and color guard senior in the class of 2010 must have their picture taken and must turn in a biography before the last day of school.  They will be included in the fall football program.

BAND CONCERT WITH L. U. WIND ENSEMBLE


The Lawrence University Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Mast, performed with Hinsdale Central's Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Percussion Ensemble.  Dr. Mast also worked with all the Hinsdale Central band students during the school day.
