Adam
Krupicka graduated in 1997 and was the Hinsdale Central "Jerry Farmer" Award
winner for his outstanding contribution to the Hinsdale Central Athletic
Department. He also was awarded an architecture grant for his outstanding class
work. He competed for the "Red Devils" but his real value to the program was in
his unending dedication to perfection. He devised a computer scoring system for
girls and boys gymnastics meets - he managed numerous Conference , Regional, and
Sectional Championships as well as many Hinsdale Central Invitationals. He
organized such innovative techniques as a judges telephone system for
communicating instant scores to the scoring table without runners. He also
developed big screen, real time scoring projection for the fans to view and
understand the progress of the meet as it happened. He helped set up and tear
down equipment with endless energy and precision. His organization of procedures
to provide an efficient meet was unprecedented. Adam was truly dedicated and
motivated to make Hinsdale Gymnastics the best in the state. His ideas and
creativity are still used today in running quality meets. He was well ahead of
his time and a great tribute to Hinsdale Central "Red Devil" Gymnastics.
