Instructional Innovation Coaches

Instructional coaching plays an increasingly important role in District 86. Instructional innovation coaches join the ranks of literacy, math, and science interventionists and social and emotional learning coaches in the District 86 peer coaching model, granting experienced teachers the opportunity to facilitate the growth of their colleagues.

 

The Instructional Innovation Coaching program provides teachers and curricular teams at both Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South access to coaches in all curricular areas. Through a partnership with the Consortium for Educational Change, District 86 instructional coaches have been trained in successful coaching strategies in order to effectively guide their colleagues in reflective instructional practice.
