Business Office

The business office is leading the work that is being done to ensure that the district's financial, facility and technological resources align with the goals, strategies and core values that are featured in the strategic plan.

This work includes making sure that:

  • Resources are equitably distributed to meet the needs of all students, as well as achieve the mission, vision, goals and strategies of the strategic plan.
  • Facilities make both schools equitable and optimal for teaching and learning practices.
  • Infrastructure, accessibility and safety deficiencies are addressed.
  • A sustainable maintenance and technological infrastructure plan is implemented.

During the 2021-22 school year, the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International awarded the district the Certificate of Excellence (COE) in Financial Reporting for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2021. The COE recognizes "districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency."

The district also earned the Meritorious Budget Award (MBA) from ASBO for the 2021-22 budget year. This is the sixth consecutive year the district won this award, which "promotes and recognizes best budget presentation practices in school districts." It also reflects a"commitment to sound fiscal management and budgetary policies."
